Our Inclusion and Wellbeing strategy
Inclusion and Wellbeing is at the core of tombola’s long term strategy, Free to be me is one of our company values and we’re committed to supporting our people to be their true selves. To do this, we want to create an inclusive environment that supports everyone.
Why is Inclusion and Wellbeing Important?
Because tombola people say it is... and we want to do better, which is why we have created an Inclusion and Wellbeing strategy.
We aim to make tombola a place where people feel included. Where you can be your authentic self, where you get support when you need it and where you can thrive to do the best work you can. There are four key pillars which will help us to achieve our aim. These are:
- Sense of belonging
- Feeling valued
- Thriving at work
- Diverse workplace
But the proof is in the pudding...
It's all well and good having a strategy, but what we actually going to do? Well we have short, medium and long term goals. But briefly, these are somethings we’re already working on with our people at tombola:
Leadership Team (LT) sponsor. It's really important that Inclusion and Wellbeing starts at the top. That's why James Beard, our COO, will represent and champion the Leadership Team on Inclusion and Wellbeing.
Hosting regular Inclusion Chats. This is an opportunity for people to engage in conversations relating to inclusion topics, including sex and gender, race, disabilities, sexism and more.
Creating Staff Networks. Learning the unique experiences and challenges people with lived experience face can help us to create a more inclusive workplace. We have a Women’s network and a Disability network at tombola and are looking to create additional groups for other people across the business.
