🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Operational Support Engineer, you’ll be part of a dynamic 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support team, ensuring the daily availability of equipment and software essential to tombola’s success. You’ll have the opportunity to support multiple technologies and proactively implement improvements to processes and systems.
✅ Desktop and Application Support:
- Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and Mac devices.
- Support business applications such as Microsoft Office and bespoke in-house software.
- Handle application and hardware issues for all assigned technologies.
✅ User Account Provisioning and Security:
- Manage user provisioning and access across Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365.
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with information security standards.
✅ Audio-Visual and Telephony Support:
- Administer and troubleshoot AV and video conferencing equipment.
- Manage and maintain telephony technologies.
✅ Process Coordination and Management:
- Drive IT processes, including starters, leavers, IT procurement, asset management, and patch management.
- Oversee backups, domain management, and disaster recovery models.
- Continuously assess and enhance tombola’s IT standards and procedures.
✅ Collaborate and Innovate:
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver technical projects and troubleshoot issues.
- Identify and implement service improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operational support.
📚 What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac desktop hardware and operating systems.
✔️ Hands-on experience with user provisioning, access management, and backup technologies.
✔️ Familiarity with Azure AD, Office 365, and Exchange.
✔️ Experience managing AV equipment, telephony systems, and CCTV.
✔️ Knowledge of patch management, IT procurement, and disaster recovery processes.
✔️ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a customer-focused mindset.
✔️ Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and handle multiple tasks.
🌟 What Would Set You Apart (But Isn’t Essential):
🎓 Relevant technical certifications or a degree in IT/Computer Science.
💡 Experience with scripting or automation for IT processes.
