Sounds great! What will I be doing? 🔎

As a Senior Software Tester at tombola, you will take the lead in ensuring the quality, security, and scalability of tombola’s web, mobile, and app platforms. You will design the testing strategy for both web and app platforms. An ISTQB Foundation Level Certification is preferred, as it showcases your deep understanding of testing standards and methodologies.

Typical Day-to-Day Tasks

• Facilitate and run test meetings

• Schedule, organise and manage game releases

• Prioritising cross-project workload for testers

• Reassigning resources for expedited projects as required

• Attending cross-functional road-mapping sessions

• One to one and mentoring work with junior members of the testing team

• Responding to issues/queries from Customer Service staff

• Asset management – tracking, assigning and requesting mobile devices for the team.

Necessary Skills

• In-depth domain knowledge of game behaviours, business rules, and regulatory requirements

• In-depth level knowledge of software development life cycles

• In-depth level knowledge of software development methodologies

• Strong stakeholder management (Between developer, tester and PM)

• Strong ability to define test specification from game requirements.

• Strong ability to identify problems and initially investigate at root cause level. 

• Perform risk based analysis on issues.

• Collaborate with product team on game requirements based on domain knowledge.

• Process development to identify areas of low test coverage

• Ability to identify and implement areas of process that need improvement affecting testers, animators and developers.

• Research and implementation of new tools and techniques.

• People development skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.

• Aiding in the recruitment process and growing the test function.

• In-depth CMS management for live game assets

Desirable Skills

• Higher level ISTQB qualifications

• Strong people management skills, with a focus on coaching and developing people
